For many manufacturers, having a producer partner of sufficient scale to meet their growing needs is important. Alder manufacturers are generally different than a lot of the Eastern sawmills. Cascade is 92% Alder, 8% PC Maple, and makes nearly 19 truckloads of product each day. In fact, we think the Chehalis sawmill produces more hardwood lumber in a 10-hour shift than any other mill in North America. Many mills from the Eastern USA are much smaller in total production, producing up to a dozen different species, each in much lesser volumes.
In some of our best programs, repeat buyers rely on us to deliver 1, 2, 3, or even 4 truckloads of Alder per week. By letting us focus on what we do best, making and shipping Alder lumber, they can focus on running their business and not have to worry about multiple sources of supply, all delivering on time.
We hear from customer after customer that this scale is meaningful to their success. However, having customers commit to this scale comes with the responsibility to make sure we hit our agreed-to-marks on shipments. Just being big does not earn us the business; being big and delivering is what creates ongoing opportunities.
If your company could benefit from Cascade’s long-term focus on delivering products on a repeated, consistent basis, then let’s talk. Business is hard enough without worrying about ordered raw materials arriving on time. Cascade can become a valued supply partner, simplifying your supply chain and letting you focus on growing your business.
