A Cascade C-Pack is 4/4 Alder in Superior (SUP), Premium (PRE), or CabinetPlus (CBP), shipped as 15/16″ SLR1E or 13/16″ SLR1E in packs just under 500 board feet. Three packs are strapped separately and banded into one unit, tallied net after straight-line ripping, with Cascade absorbing the rip loss in the price.

That packaging is the point. On larger LTL Alder orders, yards often spend time counting, rebanding, and rebuilding units. C-Packs arrive ready to receive and tag. No extra warehouse time is spent stick tallying medium-size orders. Less handling means less inventory shrinkage. They also allow for fewer small trips to the customer because a unit is already built.

C-Packs are made from three individual packs that are tallied as one net bundle. This allows the distributor to tag them the way they might customarily sell straight-line ripped lumber. Receive them as shipped at 0% added, or add the 8%, 10%, 12% rip factor that is normal in your area. If you add footage, the received inventory cost on the books can drop to compete with others in your market that might be shipping, allowing for 10% rip loss.

For multi-yard companies, mixed truckloads of SUP, PRE, and CabinetPlus C-Packs simplify redistribution. One-third of the unit can move to another branch without breaking down a random mixed pack and starting over.

C-Packs are becoming a core part of the Alder program at several distributors, especially in higher-labor-cost markets. Tag it and ship it!
